If you're planning Wednesday, Nov. 11, Bluffton will hold a Veterans Day parade, according to the town's calendar. The American Legion's lists it too. The listings we saw don't give a start time, so we suggest checking the town's calendar before you go.

Nearby, parades, ceremonies and a free meal will honor veterans across Beaufort and Jasper counties. Retired Marine Lt. Col. William Rivers "Skeet" Von Harten, a Vietnam combat veteran, will lead the Beaufort County parade as grand marshal. WTOC is keeping a running list of events across the in Georgia and South Carolina.

  • Beaufort parade lineup: 8 a.m. on Adventure Street
  • Hilton Head ceremony keynote: Brig. Gen. Peter C. Glass
  • Hilton Head rain site: St. Andrew By-The-Sea United Methodist Church
  • Hardeeville wants veteran photos: recre8@hardeevillesc.gov

Four Veterans Day events start between 8 and 10:30 a.m.
